I am a gameplay engineer with a passion for AI and UI.

While I wrote my first text based game in QBasic as a teenager, programming is a complete career change.  I started out in film, but it never fit right.  Thinking back to those QBasic days prompted me to go back to school for a masters in game development.  It took a while, but it was well worth it as I prefer getting lost in the code and thrive on the problem solving.  The background in art leads me to view problems in a different way and working in film taught me how to communicate and collaborate with people outside of my discipline.

I currently work at NetherRealm Studios.

In my spare time I run board game events and teach girls to code.  Other interests include martial arts, cycling, films, photography, baking and crafts.
