Why doesn’t this animator wear an AO?
I left my little slice of SL tonight and stood in a corner chatting in IMs with Alle. Usually when I go out, random people send me IMs asking me why I don’t wear an AO. I still don’t understand how upfront strangers can be in SL. I shit you not, but I’ve had people try and help me buy them and been given a landmark to my own store.
No it’s not because I like the default poses.
It’s partly that I’m lazy. When working on poses I turn it off and forget about it. Actually lazy is not the right word because I’m working most of the time. Distracted. That’s better.
But then again, I turn it off all the time anyways.
When talking to people, no matter how engaging the conversation is (especially talking to Alle or Francesca), my mind wanders. And for some reason it usually gets stuck on my AO. I sit there and see every flaw. With the default ones I just don’t even notice. And then all of a sudden I missed a large chunk of conversation and they are left wondering where I went to. (Sorry)
The only time that I do have it on is when I’m working on a new AO. I’ll wear it constantly to watch for the flaws for about a week. So, I guess that might be a clue to know when a new one will be out. That is if I ever leave and if I don’t trick you all in the meantime.
