Poses:
There are 5 couple’s poses for each version. There are 12 Poses in the other sets: Fashion Series 3, Sultry, Posing Chair, Mens Fashion, Male Wall. I still need to work on 2 of the male wall poses so that might end up being less.
Status:
I need a holiday. I never want to open poser or photoshop again. I need a beer. Does working for a few hours, going to kickboxing, and coming home not able to move enough to work count as a day off? If so I haven’t had one of those for a week now. If not, I haven’t had a day off in two months. I’ve been working pretty much 10-14 hour days. I need a beer.
If I wasn’t such a perfectionist, I would have been done ages ago. Since last Nov I’ve been working on the builds (too many rebuilds), poses and furniture. Stuipd LL came out with the stupid sculpties so I can’t even release the furniture. When I make a pose set, I spend a long time with it. I start logged out of SL and do a quick draft. Then its a lot of fine tuning. Many times I’ll be doing the first round of 1 pose set while another is waiting to be refined. It seems (for me anyways) if I leave a set for a week or so, I’ll see flaws that I never would have seen before. So really… it’s a long bloody process. I need a holiday.
In a little over 24 hours I’ll close the sim down to delete the old build. Part of me can’t wait for that. But that naggy part is all about the “not ready” BS. I set the date.. even if I’m really not ready, I’m going to open anyways.
Sometime after that (before 8pm SLT) I need to have everything set out. *sigh*
Then Saturday I’m going to my husband’s gig, get pissed and then come home to for the sim opening party. If I pass out or talk incoherently, deal with it.
Tue - We fly out to the States. It’s something like 12 hours with connections. Bleh. Heathrow is a bitch right now too.. need to be there three hours before! We leave at 12:30 but we have to leave the flat at 7am :( But I get to see my family. More important I get cheap shopping and my camera! yay! *jump animation*
What am I doing right now? Preloading ZHAO IIs with all my AO sets. 1 by 1. That way if someone buys it they can just wear it. People have always asked me why I did that. First of all the preloaded zhao will have Ziggy’s name as the creator and I don’t want my customers bugging him if they have issues. The other problem I have is that I just feel cheeky including free items that someone else has made within a box I’m selling. Last but not least, with the ZHAO you can have up to 12 different sets. I figured it’d be easier on everyone if those that already have one can just throw the anims into their AO instead of having to rip out the contents.
Oh well. Enough people complained so I’m just making it ultra confusing. You’ll get a massive folder: preloaded ZHAO II, ziggy’s instructions, info from me, notecard converter (to convert old zhao I notecards), and all the anims.
AO’s
Nothing too exciting this time around. I did some reworking of the handbag AOs so all the typing and emotes come through without making the bag look silly. Basically it’s two different anims for each thing. 1 that locks the arm to hold the bag steady (priority 4) and another for the rest of the body (priority 2). Sitting is a bit different but I don’t want to type it all out.
This is the AO set I made for Elika. You’ll find it cheaper in her bags :P
The sign sort of says it all don’t you think? Tomorrow at 4:30pm SLT I’m closing down the sim to make all the changes to open it back up at 5. 1 week after at 5pm I’ll close the sim again to delete the old build.
I spent most of yesterday doing more final touches on some couples poses. At the end of the day I had spent L$1,560 on uploads. I don’t think I’ve ever done that many in one sitting before. I pretty much sat here all day with my laptop on the desk running my alt not only making sure no body parts were broken on either but not intersecting the other avie. Sort of a nightmare and I don’t even know if they’ll sell but I’m really happy how they turned out.
So.. this image is really the start of why I wanted to make couple’s poses in the first place. It’s taken from a promo shot for Walk The Line - a fucking great movie if I do say so myself. I came across it while trolling for ideas for mens poses ages ago. As I’ve said before most of my source images are of actors because no one does body language like they do. So… I had googled Joaquin Phoenix and came across this stunning shot that I just had to recreate.
The title of this series is called Captured Moments with some being more casual and others more intimate. They are poses - most captured in movement - and are high priority so it’s easy to take photos of. Each one will have two different versions - one for male/female and another for female/female. Besides size, there are major differences between how men and women stand and the perfectionist in me had to make it right :) Not to mention Alle would have been rather upset had I not made a set for us.
I have also made them so each pose will work with 1 set of pose balls per type - either M/F or F/F. What this means is you can buy more then 1 then throw all the poses into 1 stand, click the base, and choose a different stand from the menu. The only restriction on this is that only 12 poses will fit. It is also semi complicated because the pose name for each ball has to be the same, so I suggest dragging 1 to inventory, then to the new stand (same ball), repeating with the second and reset scripts. Not to worry, I’ll have instructions included. They are also m/c/nt so fucking it up isn’t the end of the world :P.

Yeah I know. I said I’d get this up last night. But kickboxing did a number on me last night and I couldn’t do much of anything. So oh well.. here ya go.
Schedule of events:
Friday the 10th of August - Everything in the store will be on sale by 25% or more. Meaning if it comes to an odd number I’ll just round down. Plus I’ll be moving many poses to the discounted “older vendor” and putting my really old stuff in a box of freebies.
Friday the 17th of August - the sim closes. I’m not sure what time exactally. I’ll be deleting the old area, changing the TP spot and other stuff.
Friday the 17th of August (shortly after) - I will allow access to only memebers of the update group - Reel Expression Update. They will have at least 24 hours to buy the new stuff before everyone else. If you are a member of the old group please leave and join the new one. Cheers!
Saturday the 18th of August 8pm - 12am SLT (PDT) - The sim opening party! My favourite DJs since I was a noob - the Trinala Show - will be playing during that time. I’m thinking rooftop party. Yes I know its at 4am-8am my time.
Is everything ready? No. Will everything be ready? Prolly not. I am leaving on the 21st for my holiday in the States and just don’t want this hanging over my head any longer. Hopefully at some time I’ll be able to prepare for the talk I’m giving at SLCC. *sigh*
