photohud1 Dig it kats n kittens: new tool for posing yourself and/or others.

While I was in Rome a scripter named Marcush Nemeth sent me a notecard about a posing hud he’d made. He sent me a demo so I could play around with it and loved it. See… I’d been planning on getting a scripter to make something sort of like it, but this is better than I had planned.

My problem with posing studios is that you have to click through them all to get the one that you want. What if you already knew the name of it? Or even sorted them all out into different catagories like I dunno.. sexy, sitting, innocent, fun, whatever.

After talking with Marcush for a while, his idea was more along the lines of having someone else model and moving them around for outdoor shots. Yeah the menus that I wanted were there but that wasn’t the point for him. So I guess we got the best of both?

What you get:

You have the choice of copy/no tran or no copy/tran when purchasing it. In the folder is a pose ball and 2 versions of the hud. In the picture I’m wearing the full sized, the smaller one is too tiny for my monitor.

How does it work?

Bloody hell if I know. I can’t script myself out of a box. Heh. Ok.. so you rez the pose ball then wear the hud. You or anyone else sits on the pose ball. Easy enough so far? Ok.. so when anyone sits on the pose ball, 4 menu boxes pop up asking if its ok if the owner animates you. Click OK 4 times.

As you see in the picture, you have a bunch of arrows. That’s to move you. Up, down, side to side, forward - back, and rotations. The numbers at the top - 5mm, 25mm, 10cm, 1m - determines the amount you move each time you click on an arrow. The numbers at the bottom determine the degrees you rotate. So if you want to move a lot up in the air: click on the 1m and then click on the up arrow. If you then are close but not enough, you can change the incriments. Fun stuff!

The numbers on the right side in the circles are where you add new poses and change the pose that’s being played. Basically they are 4 separate groups of poses. So you click on 1 and it’ll bring up a menu to choose from only the poses located in 1.

To add poses you need to right click on the hud -> edit -> edit linked parts -> click on the number you want to add to. Just like the picture.

Reset the scripts and you are ready to go.

I think Marcush’s origional plan was to have me sell in them in the pose packs, but since you can add many of them into it I figured he should get all the credit for making it. So if you haven’t seen it yet, there are boxes all over my store where you can buy it along with a demo near the front of the store. I highly suggest at least giving it a try :)

Cheers
Luth
