Website Admin Crap

Luth Brodie

I haven’t been feeling particularly well the last week or so and decided to catch up on some boring website stuff.

Finally fixed the issue with the recent poses thing on the sidebar. For some reason it stopped scaling the pics. Since I couldn’t figure out why it didn’t feel like scaling it even if the code told it to scale, I did a flickr slide show instead.

Fixed some other random code issues and cleaned up the sidebar a bit. Here is my issue that I can’t seem to decide on, the list of archives is bloody long (blog has been around since 2006) but I really hate drop downs. Honestly I have no idea why someone would want to randomly see what I posted in June of 2007, but whatever.

While it was kind of annoying and took a bit longer than I wanted it to, I migrated all the tutorials to the blog. It should save a bit of time in the long run if I can ever be bothered to write more of them. But now whenever I get a bug up my ass and change the theme, I don’t have to deal with changing the rest of the site to match. Ya know cause it’s not like I did that with the last change. I just hate CSS. Links are up at the top of the site now.

IDK maybe I’ll finish some poses this week.

Plus I’ve been doing a lot more photography lately so I’ll be posting more of it here. Cause I’m weird like that.

*update* OK I’m done fussing with it. Finally fixed the double lightbox things - had two plugins in conflict. For the past couple of years I’ve been slowly digging though code to get a plugin template to work the way I wanted it to. And today I found one to replace it that would give me what I want. So now I have the photography section all working properly.

Also, dealt with the photoblog section. Yeah it’s kind of redundant but whatever. I like them both.

Cheers
Luth
