On a person note, creating for SL can be a draining and volatile thing. I could blame my busy RL schedule of a 2 month project and moving to a new flat for my absence, but honestly I just couldn’t force myself into logging in. Gone are the months I can make poses for 12-16 hours 7 days a week. The drive just isn’t there.
Honestly that’s a good thing. I’m getting out more with kung fu classes, cycling, photographing, and general debauchery. After 5 years of getting no tattoos, I’ve upped the number from 8 to 14… well 16 after tonight… in the past 6 months. I’ve applied to grad school since as it turns out, I still hate the constant looking for work even when you are working nature of being in an industry that’s 90% freelance. Which is just made worse by a shit economy.
And when I say I’ve been taking more pictures, I mean I’ve been doing a lot of photography. For those of you interested, I’ve moved all my photography stuff to here.
It’s also a good thing, creatively speaking, that instead of making what might sell and worrying about all of that, I’m just making what I want to. At least for those of you who like that sort of thing.
However, I’ve got at least a few ideas banging around my head to get out so I’m back… for now.
