FAQ

1. Do you do custom work?

While I do contract work specifically for machinima, I am currently not taking any custom orders for personal poses or animations.
I do however will happily accept suggestions. Just send me a notecard in world and include a photograph. If I make it, I’ll send you a copy for free.

2. Do you give refunds or exchanges?

On items that are copy/no transfer I do not give refunds or exchanges. I will however replace any itmes that were not recieved.

3. Are you looking for mall space?

Not typically. Feel free to ask, just do not send me notecard spam.

I am very picky about the types of places I’ll set up at as the surroundings say a lot about a creator. Meaning a place with a nice build, decent flow, low lag and no campers.

4. How can I purchase an item as a gift?

If it’s a pack you are looking to give, the easiest way is via Onrez. I will keep updating that as I release new items. You can also purchase a gift card in my store that will work for anything that is not in the individual pose vendors. They are available in L$1600, L$800, L$500 and L$200 increments.

If it’s single poses: please fill out a notecard with the pose name(s) and the name of the recipient. Payment will be needed before I send the item(s).

5. What are your customer service hours?

I don’t have any set hours. Because most of my work is done typically out of SL, my in world time is extremly varied. If I’m at my computer, I will usually respond quickly via email to IM.

I do currently live in the UK, but keep odd working hours which change frequently due to insomnia.

Please note that sometimes SL craps out and IMs don’t always get to me. Notecards are always a safe bet as is using the contact form below. You can also contact my customer service rep, Sara Primrose. If you haven’t heard back in a couple of days and my profile doesn’t say anything about holidays then please contact me again.

6. Do you have an update group?

I have subscribe-o-matic group for news and updates. To join all you need to do is click on the sign in front of the store to sign up. I do also update this blog and send notices out through the FashCon group.

7. The animation I just purchased doesn’t fit my avatar, can I edit it?

Not at this current time. Even if it is modify enabled, you can not take an animation out of SL. Sometimes you can ask the original animator to edit it, but don’t be rude enough to expect it. Animations are one of the few things you can easily try before you buy and demanding custom fittings is rather rude. While it does only take a few mins for a skilled animator, if I did that for even 1/2 of the people that purchase my poses I wouldn’t have time to make anything new.

Note how I said at this current time. Last year, LL announced something called expressive puppeteering which might change that. I don’t know when or if it will be released and whether or not you’ll be able to edit existing animations.

Another option would be to suggest to your favourite animator to make some poses that’ll fit a shorter/taller/heavier figure.

8. What is the difference between AOs and modeling poses?
The differences are rather minor but important:
- Priority. Animations are uploaded with a set priority to decide which will override. I set my modeling poses as the highest priority so nothing will mess up your shot. However, AOs will be uploaded with a lower priority so gestures and the typing animation will show through.

- Head and Neck:
If you don’t animate the head and neck, your head will turn with the direction of the camera. Most people like this for AOs, but it doesnt work well for modeling poses. Plus with my poses I like to have specific head movements that will not work for an AO.

9. You made a modeling pose that I would like as an AO:
Put the name of the pose(s) in a notecard and send it to me. I will be converting only requested poses into AOs every monday. When finished with the weekly list, I will post it in the Pose -> Ao catagory. Please see this post for more information.
